Waiting on Wednesday (12)

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Waiting on Wednesday is a wonderful weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine
Its the perfect way to discover new books to add to your To Be Read Pile!

This week I'm waiting on ...

Gabriel Merrick plays with fire. Literally.

Sometimes he can even control it. And sometimes he can’t. Like the fire that killed his parents.

Gabriel has always had his brothers to rely on, especially his twin, Nick. But when an arsonist starts wreaking havoc on their town, all the signs point to Gabriel. Only he’s not doing it.

More than Gabriel’s pride is at stake -- this could cost him his family, maybe his life. And no one seems to hear him. Except a shy sophomore named Layne, a brainiac who dresses in turtlenecks and jeans and keeps him totally off balance. Layne understands family problems, and she understands secrets. She has a few of her own.

Gabriel can’t let her guess about his brothers, about his abilities, about the danger that’s right at his heels. But there are some risks he can’t help taking.

The fuse is lit…

Why I'm eagerly waiting?

I really really loved the first book in the Elemental world! Brigid Kemmerer's storytelling was exciting in the first installment Storm so I am sure Spark will be just as amazing.
Also, the synopsis sounds like a fun filled ride!
I wonder what Layne's secret will be...

Thanks for reading!

  10. Absolutely YES to this book -- I can't wait to have it in my hands either! A bonus is that we only have to wait until August until it's release instead of an entire year, but I'd totally love to get my hands on Gabriels story NOW if it was possible :') I'm curious about Layne's secrets too!

Amazing pick for your WOW this week, Rachel! I love gushing about Brigid's books with you -- I could seriously do it all day! :') <3

  16. Awesome pick for WOW this week, Rachel! <3 Somehow I keep getting strange feelings that this series is a bit like Harlequin stories where the brothers find the perfect girl in the end. At least that guarantee us amazing romance story LOL! x) I love the cover of this book - on fire! <3
